CONFLICT CHALLENGE AND SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME:
Ms. Levin mediated a dispute between a director and a deputy
in a federal agency. She met with them together and separately
to help them work through their disagreements. They argued
over implementing policy and setting up new business procedures.
They clarified misperceptions of each other and understood
the other person’s
perspectives. Over time, their relationship improved, which
positively affected their staff.
